BHEL,
Hyderabad is equipped with all modern facilities for testing
of Generators and exciters. At different stages of manufacturing,
process tests are conducted on the Generator and Exciter components
and after completion of manufacturing of generators and exciters,

|
The
following tests on Turbogenerators and Exciters are performed
for healthiness of insulation.
|
|
1)
Insulation resistance measurement.
2) DC High voltage tests.
3) Interturn insulation test by comparison of RLC waveform.
4) Interstrip insulation test on Stator half coils.
5) 50 Hz AC high voltage test.
6) Capacitance and tan delta measurement on stator bars and
stator winding.
7) DLA measurement on stator winding.
8) Partial Discharge measurement on stator winding.
|
|
|
In
addition to the above Ring flux on stator core for ascertaining
no interlaminar short. .DC resistance measurement of the windings
is measured for healthiness of brazing and connections.
|
|
|
All
the machines manufactured are tested for routine tests .Prototype
test are performed on the first machine of the type machine.
