BHEL
has collaboration with M/S Siemens for steam turbines and
steam turbines are under manufacture with this design. Earlier
collaboration was with M/S BRUNO AND M/S SKODA of Czechoslovakia
for which spares are manufactured and supplied.

Tests
carried out on steam turbine :
No
load mechanical run test is carried out as per international
standards API 612 and BHEL standard to prove:
a)
Vibrations of machine at no load .
b)
Oil flow to bearings.
c)
Bearing temperatures
d)
Performance of governing system.
e)
Tightness of oil and steam systems.
f)
Protections of turbine
4-Test
beds are available and simultaneously 4 machines can be assembled
at a time, 2- independent oil systems , common vaccum systems
and condensate system are available.
