1.0) TEST FACILITIES
  • Three Test Beds for testing Fr-1, Frame-3, Frame-5 and Frame - 6 Gas Turbines.

  • One Test Bed For testing of Fr-9E/ Fr-6F A GT.

  • Accessory Base Test Skid facility to test accessory bases of FR-6, Fr-9E and Fr-6F A GT.

  • HSD Fuel System ( with 4x 40kl storage capacity )

  • Intake and Exhaust System - inlet duct has calibrated Flow nozzles to measure air flow in to Gas Turbines.
  • Cooling Water System

  • Vibration Monitoring System including computerised vibration analysis system.

  • Data Acquisition System Mark IV & Mark V Control system.

3.0) PERFORMANCE AND RELIABILITY RUNS
PERFORMANCE

Performance tests are run at 100% of rated turbine speed corrected to ISO conditions. Parameters Like compressor Air flow, Compressor Efficiency, Compressor Pressure ratio, Fuel Rate and Turbine Exhaust Temperatures are recorded. Numerous other temperatures and pressures are also monitored and recorded from there performence of Gas Turbines is evaluated the compares with acceptable values.

4.0) RELIABILITY

The reliability checks will vary from machine to machine and consists of checking and / or testing that experienced problems during the previous test phases. This is done to assure that the checks involved were adequate and the defect is cleared.
